ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Description: Located along historic Route 66 near Grand Canyon National Park, the Trailborn Grand Canyon Hotel is a fully reimagined boutique hospitality destination transformed from a 1950s-era motor lodge into a modern, boutique resort property.

This $12 million project consisted of a comprehensive renovation of the entire site, including 95 guest rooms, public amenities, a full-service restaurant and bar, and all associated site improvements. Every building on the property was upgraded to meet current building and life-safety codes while preserving the character and charm of the original lodge.

Guest Rooms & Public Spaces

The guest room scope included a complete remodel of all king, queen, and ADA rooms, featuring new finishes, fixtures, and furnishings throughout.

The main gathering space, known as “Camp Hall,” is a two-story building that underwent a full interior and exterior transformation. The renovated space now includes a large gathering hall, service bar with concession counter, and a welcoming lobby featuring a custom two-sided fireplace. Additional highlights include custom oak millwork cabinetry and display shelving, as well as a custom check-in counter with a leather-wrapped front and brass countertops.
